Hollins’ 178th Commencement Exercises, scheduled for May 24, have been postponed as a result of Virginia’s stay-at-home order, in effect until June 10, that prohibits public gatherings of more than 10 people. The university will announce alternate dates and plans in the near future.

* Dogs may be brought onto the Hollins campus in exterior spaces if they remain under the immediate physical control of their owner or custodian. However, because some participants or audience members may be allergic to or afraid of dogs and we want to ensure that commencement is a positive experience for everyone, bringing a dog to commencement is discouraged with the exception of guide, signal, and service dogs used by disabled persons in accordance with the Virginia Health and Safety Code.
